NEW FOR 2010: - Two new V8 engines - Standard trailer sway control - Improved Terrain Response program and braking system - Mild facelift with new headlights, taillights, grille, turn signals, fender vents and bumper - New configurable 12-inch thin film transistor (TFT) screen replaces physical gauge cluster instruments For 2010, the Land Rover Range Rover receives two new engines, developed in conjunction with Jaguar. The previous 4.4-litre V8 and supercharged 4.2-litre V8 are replaced by a 5.0-litre V8 that makes 375 horsepower in the naturally-aspirated version, and 510 horsepower with a new, sixth-generation Eaton supercharger. A mild facelift includes new LED headlights and taillights, revised front grille, and three-bar turn signals and fender vents. Inside, the traditional instrument cluster is replaced with a configurable 12-inch screen display. The Range Rover V8 uses a naturally-aspirated 5.0-litre V8, while the Supercharged uses a supercharged 5.0-litre V8. Both use a six-speed automatic transmission. Both include permanent four-wheel drive with hill descent control, gradient release control, four-wheel electronic traction control, centre electronic differential, and cross-linked air suspension with automatic load levelling and multiple modes. All models also include Terrain Response, with a driver-selectable choice of five modes, for general driving, grass/gravel/snow, mud/ruts, sand, and rock crawl.
